2025 Salomon QST Blank Skis

Back again for 2025, the infamous Salomon QST Blank returns the same awesome freeride powder ski we have grown to love. Featuring generous tip and tail rocker, a strong yet playful flex pattern, and soft snow turny shape, the Blank is a freeriders dream. Drop pillows, the biggest cliff, and the steepest of faces with confidence on the QST Blank. They will be begging you for another lap.

Why we like it:

The Blank is an award-winning powder ski and for good reason. Their ability to endlessly float and easily maneuver through deep snow is just effortless and intuitive. Also, when taken onto a big mountain face going faster than you can imagine, they are stable and confidence inspiring.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert freeride powder skiers who have big lines and objectives on their minds. Quick to turn and stable through chop, they are just as at home in the resort back bowls as they are on an Alaskan spine.

Highlights:

The Blank gets a full poplar woodcore with a fairly thick core profile to provide maximum energy and pop while also providing stability and power to the ski without making it unforgiving. This especially comes in handy when navigating a technical in run to a big drop with a high-speed runout. A full length C/FX laminate uses carbon and flax to add energy to the ski while also damping vibrations for a smooth and springy feel through the deepest snow. Cork Damplifiers are embedded into the tips and tails of the ski to provide further vibration damping during high-speed descents through variable snow. Finally, Double Sidewall Technology is used underfoot to ensure immediate power transfer and stability to the underfoot zone for a planted and confidence inspiring experience.

Things to consider:

The Blank is quite a turny powder ski and due to its limited early taper, tends to pull you into a turn when in deep snow. If you prefer a more direct approach to big mountain powder skiing, the QST X would suit that style more with its straighter sidecut.

Skis true to size. If you are between sizes, size up for maximum high-speed stability and size down for more agility and control.
