2027-rossignol-hero-athlete-gs-r22-skis-rapgb01
2027 Rossignol Hero Athlete GS R22 Skis

While not a FIS level ski, the Rossignol Hero Athlete GS 185 brings the performance and power of a GS platform into a slightly more accessible ski, meant for aspiring junior racers, masters, and strong frontside skiers. It maintains a race-inspired feel while being more adaptable across a wider range of athletes.

Why we like it:

It captures much of the top-end stability of a true race ski while remaining more manageable for developing racers.

Who it's for:

Advanced junior racers, masters racers, and strong frontside skiers looking for a race-bred GS experience without full FIS-level demands.

Highlights:

The long turn radius promotes smooth, high-speed turns that feel predictable and controlled. A full camber profile ensures consistent edge engagement, giving the ski a confident feel on firm snow. The construction balances stiffness with a touch more forgiveness, allowing easier turn initiation compared to pure race skis. It still delivers strong energy through the finish of each turn, but with a slightly more approachable flex pattern.

Things to consider:

It still favors speed and strong technique, and can feel stiff or sluggish for less aggressive skiers. It is not designed for short turns or casual cruising at slower speeds.

Fit & sizing considerations:

It skis slightly long due to its fully cambered race construction and effective edge. Many skiers will prefer their usual GS length, though lighter riders may consider sizing down for easier handling.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0670/5135/6456/files/2027-rossignol-hero-athlete-gs-r22-skis-rapgb01-1-rapgb01.jpg?v=1790190507
