This three-quarter-length race base layer uses a certified cut-resistant fabric that stays soft and elastic, replacing your usual long underwear under a speed suit. You get protection from ski edges in a crash without giving up the feel of a normal race layer.

Why we like it:

The emergency-cut seam is clever. Energiapura's patented seam lets medical staff cut the garment off quickly after a crash without weakening it while you ski.

Features and Functions:

Protection comes first: the pants carry an FIS four-star cut rating, and Energiapura's cut-resistant line is certified as protective gear. The fabric is soft, stretchy and made to be worn in place of standard base layers. An ICE KEY chip sits on the waistband elastic; tap it with any smartphone and rescuers can pull up medical data and emergency contacts or send an SMS with GPS location, no app required. The three-quarter cut keeps fabric out of the boot.

Fit and Sizing:

Snug, next-to-skin fit that sits under a race suit, ending mid-calf so nothing bunches in the boot.

Bottom Line:

The pick for FIS and national-level racers who need certified four-star cut protection under their suit for training and race day.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0670/5135/6456/files/energiapura-cut-resistant-adult-3-4-base-layer-pants-cr34lp4-cr34lp4.jpg?v=1791292173
https://checkout.skiessentials.com/products/energiapura-cut-resistant-adult-3-4-base-layer-pants-cr34lp4
