It's a hand-held oval brush with fine steel bristles, meant to be the first brush you reach for after the scraper. That opening pass clears leftover wax out of the base so the brushes that follow can finish the job.

Why we like it:

Swix's alpine racing service techs developed and tested it themselves, so the bristle spec comes straight out of a race-service workflow instead of a generic hardware pattern.

Features and Functions:

Bristle gauge is the story here. The 0.25mm steel bristles are what Swix specifies for the initial brushing of glide wax, the step right after scraping, when there's still wax sitting in the base that needs to come out. Swix lists the brush for both alpine skis and snowboards, and it came out of the brand's alpine racing service team, who developed and tested it before it went into the line. Use it to start the brushing sequence, then move to your softer finishing brushes.

Bottom Line:

Think of it as brush number one in a race tune. Anyone who scrapes and brushes their own gear regularly, from a race parent to a coach waxing a full team, will get the most out of it as the opening step before the finishing brushes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0670/5135/6456/files/swix-brush-oval-steel-alpine-racing-t0199o25v-t0199o25v.jpg?v=1791907260
