2021 Liberty Evolv 90 Women's Skis

For years, Liberty as buttered their bread with the freeride and freestyle aspects of skiing, and only recently have they made the foray into the world of front-side carving with some all-mountain notes. This is where a ski like the Liberty Evolv90 women’s skis come in handy. With a 90 mm waist width and an energetic build, these carving skis have some versatility to their nature, but they’re most at home railing beautifully rounded turns on the groomers. Skiers looking to spend most of their time on smooth and manicured slopes will love the quiet and easy-going nature of the Evolv90w. That said, these things have a very high-performance ceiling, and it’s mostly due to the build. With a mix of poplar, bamboo, and paulownia wood stringers, the evolv90w has a light and flexible core to start. But then, they put in two vertical metal struts sandwiched among the wood, and this really brings the ski to life. When thin metal strips are placed vertically, it takes a different style of flex to make the ski move. Both horizontally and longitudinally, the skis use these struts to stiffen and dampen the ski, allowing it to really take off and rip some amazing turns on the hard pack and fresh groomers. The bit of extra width provides more stability than versatility, but they’re still effective in soft or broken snow conditions.
