Known more affectionally as “The Drifter,” the ZX108 is a powder-first type of ski that has a sophisticated construction and a similar quality and style to the other Kastle soft-snow skis of the past. With a similar tip shape to the FX 106, the Drifter is capable of staying on top of a lot of fresh snow. The wood core is made from a blend of poplar and beech, allowing for some dense material to be blended into the lighter poplar, giving the ski a good balance and strong performance. Fiberglass laminates on top and bottom of the core give the ski a tremendous amount of snap and pop, but the real fun of the ski is the shape and profile. That tip shape, combined with the Hollowtech 2.0 allows for some serious flotation, and the taper of the tip makes it easy to alter your turn shape and style depending on conditions and terrain. When paired with a similar style of tail taper, the reason why the ski is called the Drifter starts to take real shape.
