The Cochise 130 is Tecnica’s top-dog freeride boot for hard-charging skiers that want the performance of a true two-piece alpine boot as well as the freedom and range of motion of a good AT boot. There is no play in this mechanism whatsoever as it locks into place when you are in ski mode. GripWalk soles give you a bit more grip for scrambling around and a more natural step overall. A newly designed hinge point on the boot reduces friction when hiking which allows for smoother motions and less effort on the climb.
