The Fischer Nightstick Team is a junior freestyle ski for young skiers who spend their days hunting for jumps, rails, and side hits. A durable sidewall build, a glass fiber layup, and a twin-tip rocker profile give it a forgiving, easy-pivoting feel that suits smaller, lighter skiers. Kids get a playful ski that spins easily, lands switch without drama, and holds up to the bumps and scrapes that come with learning in the park.
Why we like it:
The Nightstick Team is built to the same freestyle brief as Fischer's adult Nightstick line, so young skiers aren't stuck on a watered-down rental shape. We also like that it's balanced for riding forward and switch equally, which makes learning new tricks a lot less intimidating.
Who it's for:
Junior skiers who are drawn to the terrain park and want to start spinning, jibbing, and riding switch. It's also a great fit for kids who like to play all over the mountain, popping off rollers and cruising through the trees with their friends.
Highlights:
A 112mm tip, 80mm waist, and 103mm tail give the Nightstick Team a narrow, nimble platform that's easy for kids to roll from edge to edge and quick to swing around on rails and boxes. The Freeski Rocker lifts both the tip and tail, so the ski pivots and presses easily and is far less likely to catch an edge on a sketchy landing. Sidewall construction supports the edges and adds the durability a park ski needs, and Fiber Tech glass gives the ski a smooth, predictable flex that's easy for lighter skiers to bend. Fischer tuned it to perform the same forward and switch, so tricks feel consistent no matter which way you're facing. The base is extruded, which is tough and low maintenance, and the 12m radius keeps turns short and easy for small skiers.
Things to consider:
The extruded base is durable and easy to care for, but it won't hold wax or glide as fast as a sintered base. As kids get heavier and start hitting bigger features, they'll eventually want the extra stability of an adult Nightstick.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The Nightstick Team sizes true to length. Pick a length between the skier's chin and nose for park and all-mountain play, or go a little shorter for newer skiers who want quicker, easier spins.
