Atomic’s all-new Maverick 105 CTI Ski blends the mellow persona of an everyday cruiser with the hard-charging foundation of an all-mountain ski. It’s cruisy and fluid with an intuitive feel that can turn up the aggression on a dime. Advanced and expert skiers who like to go fast and drive hard with the option to tone it down will love the Maverick 105 CTI’s do-everything persona. It maneuvers effortlessly between its edges and maintains a vice-like grip while doing so, offering some pretty impressive carving performance at all speeds. It has enough surface area to float through softer snow, but it never feels too wide to take on a groomer. Its new construction is similar to last season’s model, but it features a bit less fiberglass and resin to make the new model more eco-friendly. It continues to balance a light wood core with carbon, titanal, and Dura Cap sidewalls to offer a maneuverable and forgiving ride that retains the power, aggression, and stiffness of metal-powered skis. It also comes equipped with Atomic’s HRZN 3D Tip technique—a unique shovel design that delivers the perfect balance between float and adaptability. It’s a pretty fine-tuned ski if we do say so ourselves, and it performs with a level of impressiveness that is rarely found beyond Atomic’s skis.
