Meet the Atomic Shift2 10, reimagined for 2026 as the ultimate 50/50 hybrid ski binding for all-mountain freeride and touring enthusiasts. This advanced model seamlessly integrates backcountry functionality with the high-performance precision of alpine bindings, ensuring you experience unmatched efficiency and dependability on every adventure. Whether you're ascending with the ease of a tech binding or descending with the confidence of an alpine setup, the Shift2 10 delivers a unified solution for versatile skiing in any terrain.

Why we like it:

The Shift2’s upgrades have undoubtedly resolved the issues that some were experiencing with the previous iteration. Other than the upgrades, the Shift2 remains reliable and compact with transitions between uphill and downhill being swift and easy. The Shift2 opens so many avenues for skiers who don’t want to fully commit to having a tech binding so that they may use their skis inbounds as well as outbounds with the same level of confidence.

Who it's for:

It is the choice for many advanced to expert freeride backcountry skiers who require the utmost performance of their bindings when deep in the backcountry.

Highlights:

The Shift2 10 is MultiNorm Compatible thanks to its adjustable Micro AFD that allows the toe height to be tailored to alpine, hybrid boot, and touring soled boots. An Oversized Platform and Low Profile Chassis supply maximum power transmission to the ski while also keeping the look sleek. The Low Profile Chassis also resists the binding from being cumbersome in deep snow and technical terrain while in the backcountry. A Hike to Ride Switch makes transitions super quick and easy while the climbing aids assist with steep incline ascents. To finish it off, the Shift2 is also ski crampon compatible for glacier and firm snow traversing.

Things to consider:

The Shift2 is not going to win any awards for being lightweight especially in the touring world. However, what you gain in downhill performance certainly makes up for its weight. For long distance toruing, a pin binding is likely the way to go but for short technical routes with high speed and high impacts descents, the Shift2 is your go to.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Shift2 10 is compatible with Alpine, Hybrid Touring, and Touring specific ski boots.
