2026 Elan Ripstick 96 Skis with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The 2026 Elan Ripstick 96 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings introduces a new construction and shape while maintaining its status as the most versatile ski in the Ripstick lineup. Adaptable to any snow condition, the Ripstick 96 delivers high performance and energy whether you’re carving fresh corduroy in the morning or navigating chopped-up powder in the afternoon. It’s designed to keep you charging until the last chair. We paired the 96 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

With its exceptional versatility, the Ripstick 96 accommodates a wide range of skier abilities. Its intuitive design makes it easy for most skiers to quickly get comfortable and have a great time.

Who it's for:

From lower intermediates to expert skiers, the Ripstick 96 offers benefits across a broad spectrum of skill levels.

Highlights:

The Ripstick 96 features Elan’s Tubelite wood core, which incorporates lightweight carbon tubes running along the ski’s length. This innovative use of carbon allows the ski to flex and respond dynamically in all directions, enhancing both torsional and longitudinal performance while maintaining a lightweight profile. The Amphibio Rocker ensures smooth edge-to-edge transitions, while UD Fiber laminates help to keep the ski lightweight, allowing you to ski all day without feeling fatigued. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

Heavier and more aggressive skiers might find the Ripstick 96 slightly soft in longitudinal flex, a concern that lighter skiers generally do not experience.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Ripstick 96 skis true to size. Heavier and more aggressive skiers may want to consider sizing up or opting for the Ripstick 96 Black Edition for added support.
