2027 Fischer Ranger 108 Skis with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The 2027 Fischer Ranger 108 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings is a versatile and powerful freeride setup designed for athletes who seek both stability and playfulness on the mountain. It offers a unique combination of stability at high speeds and on big impacts, while also providing agility and smeariness in deep snow. This makes it an ideal choice for those who want a ski that is reliable in variable conditions yet fun and responsive in powder. We paired the 108 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

We appreciate the Ranger 108 for its robust and direct build paired with a playful and drifty shape. This combination allows the ski to adapt well to various snow conditions, from chopped-up crud to blower pow.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert freeriders who need a dependable ski for any condition in a freeride setting will find the Ranger 108 to be an excellent choice.

Highlights:

The Ranger 108 features a sturdy flex pattern for stability and composure, thanks to its beech and poplar wood core. Shaped Titanal laminates underfoot provide binding retention and vibration damping, while the Flex Cut in the Ti laminate allows for a more consistent flex pattern underfoot, enhancing intuitiveness and predictability. The Sandwich Sidewall Construction enhances overall stiffness by using a full sidewall around the ski, maximizing edge power. The Freeski Rocker profile ensures quick turning and a surfy feel in deep snow. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

The Ranger 108 is less forgiving in tighter, more technical terrain, locking in and letting you know if you’ve made a mistake.
