Intermediate to advanced skiers who take on the mountain in a less aggressive manner and want a ski packed with energy and responsiveness will benefit the most from the Ranger 84.

Highlights:

A full poplar woodcore lays the foundation for the 84 and provides a stable yet very energetic feel to the ski. Supporting the core is Fischer’s Fiber Tech which is comprised of fiberglass laminates to contribute some stiffness but also responsiveness and reactiveness so that skiers get a lot of output without too much input. Sandwich Sidewall Construction brings the build together and creates immediate power transfer directly to the edges of the ski with its full-length sidewalls. Freeski Rocker profile gives the ski a playful feel with sacrificing too much in the way of stability. In other words, the skier dictates turn initiation instead of the ski initiating for the skier, which helps progressing skiers hone their carving technique.

Things to consider:

If you are an advanced to expert aggressive skier, the Ranger 84 is likely a bit underpowered for how you like to ski. However, if you are a progressing intermediate or less aggressive advanced skier who needs a ski that is forgiving, easy to use, and intuitive, the Ranger 84 belongs at the top of your list.
