Why we like it:

The softer flex and shape profile make this board easy to maneuver at slower speeds, great if you are still getting comfortable transitioning edge to edge. The freeride nose and tail give it excellent float in deep snow and help initiate and release from the turn easier making it a great option for riding off trail through trees or moguls.

Who it's for:

The Frontier is a great option for riders of all abilities, whether you are a beginner who is still getting comfortable, or a more advanced rider looking for a fun and forgiving board that isn't going to tire them out at the end of the day. Built with enough spring-loaded camber to give you the pop you need for bigger airs and enough rocker to provide superior float in the back country.

The Frontier is built with Jone’s Classic Core made of premium poplar to provide a snappy and responsive feel without sacrificing durability. The Biax Fiberglass laminate that runs the full length of the board gives it some added stability to give you better stability and edge hold on harder packed groomed trails. The 3D Contour Base brings the contact points back to allow for easier turn initiation and better float.

Things to consider:

The softer flex on the Frontier can lack some stability for heavier more aggressive riders and the camber profile can make it easier to catch an edge and fall but the 3D contour base helps make it less catchy in cruddier conditions.
