2025 Line Sakana Skis

The 2025 Line Sakana is a head-turning carving and surfing machine that is just as much fun in deep snow as it is railing carved turns. The Sakana is one of a kind in that no other ski can do what it can do, with its wide body, short turning radius, and a swallow tail, it’s combination of attributes are hard to describe. Quick turning, excellent carving on pack powder groomers, and easy to pivot and smear in soft snow, these things are just and outright blast all day long.

We enjoy the uniqueness of this ski and its insane combination of attributes and capabilities. The carving performance and reactiveness is just mind blowing and its surfy character in soft snow make it an incredible tree ski.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers seeking a specialized ski that can do many different things and make your time on the mountain extremely fun and rewarding.

Highlights:

A wood core composed of Paulownia and Maple keeps the weight down while also giving the ski responsiveness and composure, resulting in smooth and stable carving performance on trail but a low swing weight for maneuverability and wiggle factor in soft snow. Carbon Flax Tape uses carbon stringers offset by Flax taping laminates to bolster stiffness to eliminate the pingy or deflective properties of full carbon laminates.

Things to consider:

Due to the Sakana’s uniqueness, there are not many situations where it would make sense as a one-ski-quiver. However, if you already have some skis with a dedicated purpose and are looking for something with more of a fun-having attitude, the Sakana is certainly one to have on your list.
