The Proto Synthesis is the best-selling board in Never Summers line up and there is a good reason for that. This all-mountain twin provides the most versatility, power, and maneuverability you could want from a board and with the more moderate flex it is approachable for any rider.

Why we like it:

The Proto Synthesis provides plenty of versatile whether you are shredding the park, exploring the back country, or just cruising down the groomers. The hybrid rocker profile gives you the stability you need to rail turns at high speeds and enough spring-loaded pop to launch bigger ollies without sacrificing maneuverability off trail through trees and moguls.

Who it's for:

The Proto Synthesis would be good for beginner level riders all the way up to your more advanced riders. It is nimble enough to take off trail through tight trees but has enough camber to give you the responsiveness you need to charge down groomers. The twin shape and spring-loaded camber makes this an excellent option for the park as well.

Highlights:

The traditional hybrid Rocker Camber Profile on the Proto Synthesis combines camber sections under foot with rocker in between to give you a good balance of stability and maneuverability. The Superlight wood core makes it lightweight in nimble without sacrificing durability. The RDS 2 Dampening System uses rubber layers to provide impact absorption and a smoother stable ride. Extended Transition Areas on the tip and tail make for easier turn initiation and maneuverability.

Things to consider:

The twin shape on the Proto Synthesis makes it easy to ride and land switch but lacks some of the deep snow performance that you would get with a more directionally rockered board. A heavier, more aggressive rider may want something with more camber for even more stability.
