2027 Rossignol Arcade 84 Open Ski with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The Arcade 84 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings stands out as a true all-mountain setup that combines race technology with a freeride construction. It delivers comprehensive all-mountain performance at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for skiers who need a versatile ski that excels across the entire mountain. Its forgiving yet responsive build, along with a versatile frontside/all-mountain shape, allows it to carve impressive arcs and navigate through favorite glades with ease. We paired the Arcade 84 Open with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

The Arcade 84 merges the characteristics and feel of the Experience skis with the versatility of a freeride ski, creating a highly approachable setup in both performance and price.

Who it's for:

This ski is designed for intermediate to expert directional skiers who value versatility and ease of use and don’t want to break the bank.

Highlights:

Rossignol incorporates a full poplar wood core and an ABS LCT (Line Control Technology) strip that extends along the length of the ski to enhance longitudinal stiffness. Central titanal laminates provide vibration damping and improve edge grip on firm snow. Full-length rectangular sidewalls increase longitudinal stiffness and ensure efficient power transfer to the edges. The VAS (Vibration Absorption System) minimizes vibrations, delivering a smooth and composed ride on and off the trail. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

While the Arcade 84 is an exceptionally versatile and user-friendly ski suitable for a wide range of skiers, it may feel slightly underpowered for more aggressive or heavier skiers. In such cases, the Arcade 88 could be a better option.
