The 2025 Salomon Abstract with Rossignol Battle Bindings is a high-performance unisex true twin setup that excels both in the park and on the trail. Featuring a full camber profile, this board delivers ample pop and edge hold without compromising maneuverability. Whether you're carving high-speed turns on groomers or launching off large features in the park, the twin shape and centered stance make it equally adept at riding switch. We paired the Abstract with the Rossignol Battle because these versatile all-mountain bindings can cover a variety of terrain and conditions with all the comfort that any rider can appreciate. A moderate flex makes these approachable for most riders making them a great option to pair with the Abstract.
Why we like it:
The Abstract shines in the park. Its blend of rocker, camber, and a flat profile between the mount points provides excellent spring-loaded pop, enhancing ollies and delivering stability and edge hold at high speeds. The true twin shape with zero taper ensures a comfortable ride both switch and regular.
Who it's for:
The Salomon Abstract is perfect for progressing beginners as well as advanced park riders. While it's optimized for park riding, it also performs well on icy east coast groomers, making it a versatile choice.
Highlights:
The Popstar core underfoot offers explosive pop, ideal for bigger airs and stable landings. Carbon Beams integrated into the core enhance edge hold and dampen vibrations, even in rough conditions. The Quadralizer Sidecut distributes pressure evenly, improving maneuverability and making edge transitions smoother. The One Shot Strap on the Battle bindings provide exceptional stability both laterally and vertically transferring energy quicker and more efficiently. EVA footbeds help reduce chatter to create a smoother, damper ride in any conditions. The Mainframe Highbacks have a rigid center frame with softer sides to give you the best combination of stability and comfort without sacrificing weight.
Things to consider:
The true twin shape may lack some flotation in deeper snow, though adjusting the stance can help mitigate this issue. If a surfier ride is desired, there are better options available, however the stability and edge hold are a reasonable tradeoff here.
Fit & sizing considerations:
With approximately 17 cm of rocker in the nose and tail, this board maintains a true-to-size ride and is available in a wide range of lengths from 138 cm to 162 cm.
