With a snug fit and an accessible flex, the Salomon S/Pro Alpha 90 W is an awesome choice for slender-footed intermediate skiers who are looking for all-day performance and support. These boots are well-made and have a lot to offer the mid-range of skier type, mainly in an on-trail and groomer format.

Why we like it:

There aren’t many boots out there with this level of precision with a more manageable and approachable flex. You don’t have to be a strong skier to access the performance here, but it certainly helps to have a narrower and lower foot in order to fit properly into this boot.

Who it's for:

Intermediates and progressing skiers will love the performance. The 90-flex rating is great for less aggressive skiers who spend most of their time on-trail and in some form of carved turn. You also have a somewhat narrow foot as these low-volume boots will feel tighter on mid to high-volume feet.

Highlights:

The polyurethane shell is heat moldable making this an easily customizable boot for an experienced boot fitter. We also see four micro-adjustable buckles for further fine-tuning of the fit and resulting performance.

Things to consider:

If you’re a more aggressive skier, a stiffer boot may align better. Same with foot shape. If you have a wide foot or high instep, the Supra style of Salomon boot will fit more appropriately.

Fit & sizing considerations:

While the shell is stretchable, the base point of these skis is on the narrow side. With sizing from 22.5 to 27.5, most skiers will find a size for them here.
