The Stance 84 remains unchanged for 2025, and rightly so – Salomon has hit upon an excellent combination of attributes to make a very fun, accessible ski that can do a lot of things for a lot of skiers. The Stance 84 gets a full Poplar wood core that’s enhanced with a Titanal plate underfoot for power and grip on firm snow. Carbon stringers extend from that metal plate into the tip and tail of the ski, giving an energetic feel that makes this ski quick edge to edge. The vertical sidewalls transition to cap construction in the front and back of the ski, working alongside rocker and a progressive taper to allow for easy maneuvering through bumps and technical terrain, further enhancing the Stance 84’s all-mountain prowess.

Things to consider:

Top end stability might be an issue for some very aggressive skiers, as there is no metal in the tip and tail of this ski. There are better options if you’re looking to chase powder days, though the Stance 84 can certainly handle a few inches of fresh snow with ease.
