The 2025 Volkl Mantra 108 is an absolute tank that obliterates whatever is unfortunate enough to lay in its path. Incredibly strong and powerful, the 108 blasts through any and all snow conditions at any speed with the utmost composure. Mainly suited for big mountain lines at excessive speeds, the 108 is as sturdy as it gets, and if you find yourself on the right mountain, on the right day, there are not many other options that would be a better pick.

The amount of power and sturdiness from the Mantra 108’s construction and shape are what gives it these attributes which makes it perfect for what it is intended to be used for. Overall, we appreciate its specificity and lack of caring for the demands of the general population.

Who it's for:

Upper advanced to expert directional freeride skiers who need a ski that is incredibly stable at high speeds and that do not have a playful skiing style will have the most success with the Mantra 108.

Highlights:

Volkl’s 3D Radius sidecut gives the Mantra 108 3 different turn radii depending on which portion of the ski is driven and weighted. The tip, underfoot zone, and aft portions of the skis have specific sidecuts. Tailored Titanal Frame is made up of a full sheet of titanal under the core with a segmented frame above the core to allow tailored torsional and longitudinal flex to specific portions of the ski to provide incredible edge grip but also provide some forgiveness for intuitiveness.

Things to consider:

The Mantra 108 is not very versatile and is instead very specific to one application and skier type.
