2025 Volkl Peregrine 80 Skis W/ Lowride 12 TCX Bindings

All-new for 2025, the Volkl Peregrine 80 is the direct replacement for the Deacon 80 and also fills the same role as an intuitive and approachable frontside all-mountain ski. Precise and engaging, the 80 is the more approachable version of the Peregrine 82 as it does not have as much metal in it. But don’t assume there is a huge drop in carving performance, because these things absolutely rip but just require less input.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to advanced skiers who prefer carving and frontside exploration that want a ski that does not require a lot of input.

Highlights:

Tailored Carbon Tips inlayed into the stress lines of the tips adjust torsional stiffness specifically to increase turn initiation precision and predictability. A titanal band runs down the central portion of the ski to add some stability and vibration dampening. 3D Radius sidecut gives a different turning radius to each portion of the ski, so depending on where you are driving and weighting the ski you generate a different turn shape. Rounding out the highlights, we get Volkl’s multilayer woodcore which is made up of layers of different densities which results in the ski having specific stiffnesses at particular points in the ski boosting its intuitiveness and performance overall.

Things to consider:

If you are a powerful skier looking for the absolute top end of carving performance, there are better options out there.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. Being a frontside carving ski, sizing down slightly from a typical all-mountain ski is the correct length choice.
