With less metal than the wider Secrets, the 84 delivers accessible and friendly performance in a variety of conditions and terrain, making it a capable all-mountain performer that’s great for a variety of terrain, with a high performance ceiling that’s perfect for progression.

Highlights:

The Secret 84 is built with much of the same construction technology as its wider counterparts, including the Multilayer Woodcore and Tailored Carbon Tips. The big change we see is to the frame of the ski; instead of Titanal, the Secret 84 gets a Fiberglass Frame, which reduces the weight of the ski and gives it an energetic, poppy feel. Volkl utilizes their 3D Radius as well, making for an intuitive feel that allows skiers to vary their turn shape with ease for unlimited versatility.

Things to consider:

This ski blurs the line between frontside and all-mountain, so if you’re looking for a high performance frontside carving ski, there are better options than the Secret 84. Alternatively, if you’re goal is to spend the majority of time off piste, take a look at some of the wider all-mountain options out there.
