You can’t fake float, and the Genome has it in spades. It’s smooth, intuitive, and surprisingly nimble for its size.

Who it's for:

Expert skiers looking for a dedicated powder ski that excels in soft snow and rewards a surfy, creative style. Best suited for riders who know where to find the goods and aren’t afraid to get there.

Highlights:

The Genome is powered by Liberty’s Speedcore Carbon—a bamboo and poplar core with carbon fiber stringers that keeps things light and reactive despite the ski’s massive dimensions. The 141 mm waist and full rocker profile create exceptional float and maneuverability, while the long turn radius and low swing weight make the ski feel agile in deep, steep, technical terrain. Sandwich sidewalls add grip when needed and help maintain edge control in steeper or variable conditions.

Things to consider:

This is a purpose-built powder ski—it won’t be your daily driver unless you live somewhere with consistently very deep snow. On hardpack or in tight moguls, it’s simply too much ski. If you’re looking for a playful, one-ski-quiver, the Genome is not going to check that box.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Skis true to size. With so much surface area, sizing up is likely unnecessary, though it will certainly add to the float and stability of the skis. Size down if your goal is to maintain as much maneuverability in tighter terrain as possible.
