With only minimal changes for this year, the 2026 Stockli Stormrider 102 is a versatile powerhouse that brings Stockli’s renowned power and precision to a wider all-mountain platform, offering an exceptional ride for skiers who prioritize top-tier performance, especially in deeper snow. By combining lightweight construction with two layers of Titanal, the Stormrider 102 delivers a rare blend of stability, strength, and agility across all terrain, earning its place as a true quiver killer.

Why we like it:

This ski stands out for its impressive versatility, and can lay trenches down the fall line just as reliably as it can play in powder.

Who it's for:

Advanced to expert skiers who demand a high level of performance but want the versatility of a wide bodied all mountain ski will love the precise and stable Stormrider 102.

Highlights:

Returning fans will be pleased that for the most part, the 2026 Stormrider 102 is unchanged from the previous model and maintains the same footprint and profile. We have the same lightweight mixed wood core of Poplar, Beech, and Paulownia, and the 102 still gets two full sheets of Titanal to provide a damp and stable feel. New for this year is an updated, reinforced rubber layer that runs the length and width of the ski, which further enhances that characteristic Stockli smoothness the brand is known for. Improved base material is used to maximize glide for better speed, while a rubber insert in the tip dampens vibrations for chatter-free turns. Finally, a scratch-resistant topsheet coating helps maintain a clean, polished look over time, preserving the ski’s aesthetic.

Things to consider:

While Stockli touts the Stormrider 102 as a freeride ski, it’s quite a directional ski with little rocker in the tails, so creative skiers looking for surfy, playful freeride ski may not find this fits the bill. Skiers on a budget should note that the Stormrider 102 is meticulously hand built in Switzerland and therefore comes with a higher price tag.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These skis run true to size.
