2026 Volkl Mantra M7 Skis with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings

The 2026 Volkl Mantra M7 with Tyrolia Attack 14 GW Bindings is a stiff and powerful setup that delivers the commanding performance the Mantra name is known for. While it remains a powerhouse for high-speed carving and charging through mixed snow, Volkl’s refinements have made the M7 the most responsive, versatile, and intuitive version of this ski—without sacrificing its elite top-end performance. We paired the Mantra M7 with the Tyrolia Attack 14 GW because of the Attack’s light weight, reliability, and ease-of-use for all mountain and freeride skiers. Additionally, ample elastic travel and direct power transmission function to ensure these bindings cater perfectly to the needs of demanding freeriders.

Why we like it:

It’s stable and powerful. You get race-inspired grip and confidence, but with an engaging feel at medium speeds and across varied terrain.

Who it's for:

Designed for advanced and expert skiers with the strength and technique to drive a demanding ski. It’s ideal for those who love carving hard, skiing fast, and exploring the mountain with precision and control.

Highlights:

The M7’s 4 Radius Drive sidecut gives the ski four distinct turn zones—from tip through tail—allowing you to seamlessly shift between short slashes and long arcs based on input and terrain. The Tailored Titanal Frame combines full-length titanal beneath the core with an upper segmented frame for powerful edge hold and directional stability, while still offering just enough forgiveness when needed. Tailored Carbon Tips enhance turn initiation and torsional control, giving the M7 surgical precision without feeling overly rigid. Volkl’s Multilayer Wood Core of poplar and beech ensures a dynamic flex profile that’s stiff where it counts and responsive throughout. With a low stand height of just 17 millimeters, the 2027 Tyrolia Attack 14 offers an impressively close connection to the snow, delivering precise power transmission and a confident, locked-in feel. The FR Pro3 toe piece allows for a full 180 degrees of boot release, enhancing safety in a variety of fall scenarios, while the AFS (Anti-Friction Slider) ensures reliable re-centering and consistent release characteristics. Built to withstand hard use, the Attack 14 combines durability with performance, making it a go-to option for aggressive skiers who demand trust in their gear.

Things to consider:

This ski isn’t built for a casual ride—it rewards active skiing and penalizes passive technique. If you’re not consistently driving from the front of your boots, you may find the M7 hard to manage, especially in tighter terrain or at slower speeds.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Mantra M7 skis true to size. Stick with your usual length for a stable, powerful feel. Size down slightly if you prioritize quicker turns or need added agility—this ski holds its edge even in shorter lengths.
