The 2026 Volkl M7 Mantra W with Marker Squire 11 Bindings delivers the same elite performance as last year’s Secret 96—just with a new name and topsheet. Built for confident, directional skiers, this all-mountain workhorse blends hard-charging stability with intuitive handling, carving trenches on groomers and dancing through off-piste terrain without missing a beat. We paired the Mantra M7 Women's with the Marker Squire 11 because of the Squire’s high performance and dependability for lighter weight all mountain and freeride skiers. With a light weight construction and a safe, reliable release, the Squire 11 is a go to choice to keep performance high and weight low.

Why we like it:

It’s a true one-ski quiver. Whether you’re carving high-speed arcs, navigating bumps, or exploring soft snow stashes, the M7 W adapts and delivers with strength and style.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert women who want one ski that can handle it all—firm groomers, choppy snow, glades, and steep terrain. Confident intermediate skiers on the rise will also appreciate how this ski can support their progression.

Highlights:

The M7 Mantra W features Volkl’s 4 Radius Drive design, giving it the ability to seamlessly shift between turn shapes with minimal skier input—perfect for dynamic, all-mountain skiing. A Tailored Titanal Frame adds strength and vibration damping without making the ski feel overbearing, while Tailored Carbon Tips ensure snappy engagement and smooth transitions through the turn. Underneath it all, the Multilayer Wood Core of poplar and beech delivers a stable yet lively foundation, giving this ski the edge grip and precision Volkl is known for. Marker’s Triple Pivot Light 2 Toe and Hollow Linkage Heel systems work in tandem to provide powerful energy transmission to the ski, allowing for maximum edge grip and control of the ski. Lighter weight skiers can rest easy knowing the Squire 11 will be easier than ever to step into thanks to a re-designed heel piece. Perhaps the most underappreciated feature of the Squire 11 is the anti-ice rail, which sits on top of the toepiece and can be used to scrape the sole of your boots clean before stepping in.

Things to consider:

This ski is on the stiffer side of the spectrum—while approachable for strong intermediates, true beginners or lighter, tentative skiers might prefer something more forgiving. It’s also not the most uphill-friendly option for touring-focused skiers – best to keep this one to the resort.

Fit & sizing considerations:

These skis run true to size. Feel free to size down for added maneuverability—thanks to the strength of construction, there’s minimal compromise in performance.
