The 2027 Arbor Rooster Fish with Ride C-2 Bindings is a powder setup, plain and simple, and a pretty special one. The board is short and wide with a big tapered nose and a swallowtail, so it floats like something much longer but still whips around in tight trees. The feel is surfy and playful, with the nose planing up while the tail sinks and lets go. We paired the board with the C-2 bindings because these well-rounded all-mountain bindings perform well in most conditions or terrain. A moderate flex makes them stiff enough to charge on groomers but not too demanding that you can’t take them in the park. Why we like it:

The 3D Nose Hull does real work in deep snow, planing the front end up so you are not fighting for float. That pulled-in swallowtail sinks the tail and lets the board release out of turns for a surfy feel.

This one is for the rider who checks the snow report at midnight and makes a beeline for the trees on a deep morning. Intermediate and advanced riders who let the tail drift and steer from the back foot will feel at home on it right away.

Things to consider:

This is a one-trick pony in the best way. It is built for soft snow and will feel out of its element grinding around on a firm, groomed day, and the heavy taper and swallowtail ride differently than a normal twin.

Fit & sizing considerations:

This is a volume shift board, so the extra width makes it ride like something a couple of sizes longer. Most riders should drop well below their usual size, and you would only stay at your regular length if you are a heavier rider chasing maximum float.
