Why we like it:

The AntiMatter 100 feels stout and planted underfoot when you point it, but the shape and rocker keep it loose and energetic when you don't. That blend of high-speed stability and slashable, surfy character is what sets this ski apart from a more pure-freestyle ARV.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who want a high-performance freeride all-mountain ski. Great for skiers who like to charge groomers and open terrain but also want to slash, smear, and pop off side hits.

Highlights:

The Speedmetal Titanal layup is the heart of the AntiMatter Series. Where the ARV family is built around poplar pop, AntiMatter is built like a real freeride tool, with strategically shaped Titanal laminate that adds high-speed damping and stability while keeping the ski lively. Freeride Rocker keeps generous taper and rocker in the tip and tail for soft-snow maneuverability, with strong camber underfoot for edge hold when the snow firms up. The All Mountain Edge is heat-treated and oversized for the right balance of durability and feel, and the Comp Series Base is a sintered UHMW with added carbon for better glide and toughness. AR100 sidewalls round out a freeride-grade build that's heavier and stouter than the ARV line, but a lot more capable when you point it.

Things to consider:

The AntiMatter 100 is a real freeride ski, not a freestyle twin. It's not as poppy or playful as a comparable ARV, and the heavier titanal-laminate build wants to be driven. Skiers who want a softer or more freestyle-leaning feel should look at the ARV 100 instead.
