Whether you're ripping groomers, dropping into chop, or slashing pow, the Atomic Strive 14 GW is a lightweight all-mountain binding built to keep up. It pairs a low-profile chassis with a wide-stance toe, a high DIN ceiling, and generous elastic travel to provide the retention and predictability to handle whatever you want to throw at it.

Why we like it:

The LDN toe piece is the headliner, a low, direct, neutral design that drops your stance height and widens the platform under the ball of your foot for real gains in snow feel.

Who it's for:

Aimed at advanced and expert skiers who ski hard and want a binding that holds its setting when things get fast or chunky. It suits all-mountain riders splitting time between trails and off-trail terrain, freestyle skiers who like a low, balanced platform for takeoffs and landings, and anyone chasing a lighter setup without giving up release strength.

Highlights:

Atomic built the Strive around a low-profile chassis that keeps stand height down and tightens the connection between boot and ski, and you notice it the first time you roll the ski on edge. Up front, the LDN toe uses a longitudinal spring and a wide pedal to balance retention with clean release, paired with a sliding anti-friction device that keeps lateral release consistent. A healthy amount of elastic travel lets the binding ride out impacts and chatter without pre-releasing when you least want it. The heel steps in easily and damps vibration through the tail. Reinforcing metal goes only where the loads are highest, which is how the weight stays down without turning it soft. It works with both alpine ISO 5355 and GripWalk soles right out of the box.

Things to consider:

The low end of the release range means very light or beginner skiers will be better served by a softer-releasing option. And while the low stand height is great for feel, skiers who prefer a taller, more leveraged platform may find it sits flatter than they are used to.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Pick a brake equal to your ski's waist or up to roughly fifteen millimeters wider so it clears the edges without dragging.
