Progression is what the Dalbello Veloce 95 MV W is built around. It's a women's all-mountain overlap boot that pairs a polyurethane lower shell with a lighter, more forgiving cuff material, sitting on a medium-volume women's last with a heat moldable liner. That combination gives it more edge power than the flex number suggests while keeping the boot easy to step into and comfortable through a full day. Intermediate and advanced skiers get something that grows with them instead of holding them back.
Why we like it:
For a 95 flex it skis with more authority than the number implies, holding an edge like boots rated well above it. The Auto-Fit tongue is the other standout, with EVA padding that molds to the shin and takes the sting out of a firm forward lean.
Who it's for:
Intermediate and advanced women skiers who spend most of the day on groomed terrain and venture off it when conditions allow. The medium-volume women's fit suits an average to slightly narrow foot with a normal instep and a lower-volume heel. It's a strong match for someone building toward all-mountain skiing who wants a boot that will still be right two seasons from now.
Highlights:
The interesting choice here is the material split: a PU lower shell paired with a DB Hyperlite cuff, which trims weight and softens the top of the flex without giving up the drive polyurethane provides down low. Entry is easier because of it, which is a bigger deal than it sounds for anyone who's wrestled with a stiff shell in a cold parking lot. The Veloce IF W liner is heat moldable with firm heel padding and even pressure through the forefoot, and Contour 5 handles the classic hot spots before a fitter touches it, with molded space at the navicular, the ankle pockets, and the sixth toe. MyFit means the shell and liner can be adjusted independently. Women's-specific micro-adjustable buckles have their pivot axes set closer together so they take less hand strength to close, a 40mm power strap secures the cuff, and the soles are GripWalk out of the box. An insulated footbed and welded seams handle warmth.
Things to consider:
The toebox is rounded and runs a touch narrow for a medium-volume boot, so wide forefeet may need a punch. This one doesn't get the cuff canting adjustment or the insulated liner found higher in the line. Uphill travel isn't part of the plan either, since there's no walk mechanism or pin inserts, and skiers already charging hard should look at the 105.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Last width runs 99mm, which puts it in medium-volume territory with a women's-specific shape. Mondopoint sizing is consistent, so pick your usual size and let the fit get sorted out in the shop. Given the flex rating, a proper fitting session with a certified bootfitter is a worthwhile investment.
