The Dynastar M-Free 108 is a directional twin with a poplar and PU hybrid core, generous tip and tail rocker, and the same metal-free construction philosophy as the rest of the M-Free family. Sitting between the all-mountain 100 and the powder-leaning 112, it's the freeride sweet spot for skiers who want one ski for soft snow days and freeride missions.

Why we like it:

The 108 has an almost uncanny ability to slash and pivot in soft snow. The combination of the rockered twin shape and the lively-but-damp Hybrid Core 2.0 gives the ski a surfy character that few directional freeride skis can match without giving up the speed and stability the M-Free line is known for.

Who it's for:

Advanced and expert skiers who ski a lot of soft snow and want a freeride-leaning daily driver. Best suited to skiers with a slightly centered stance who like to pivot, smear, and go switch occasionally. It's a top option for resort skiers in deeper-snow regions and a strong choice for sidecountry exploration.

Like the rest of the M-Free family, the 108 is built around Hybrid Core 2.0, which combines a tri-directional poplar wood core with PU running along the perimeter. The construction skips titanal in favor of unidirectional fiberglass for a lighter, livelier feel that still has the dampness to handle chop and variable snow. The shape is meaningfully tapered at both ends, with substantial tip rocker and a fully-rockered tail that releases smoothly out of every turn. Adaptiv Sidecut creates a fluid transition from the underfoot sidecut to the tip and tail geometry, and a sandwich full sidewall keeps edge contact engaged when conditions firm up. The Sintered HD base holds wax and glides cleanly across snow types. Compared to the wider M-Free 112, the 108 is meaningfully more agile in tight trees and tighter terrain while giving up only a small amount of float in deep snow.

Things to consider:

The directional-twin shape is more freestyle-friendly than the M-Pro side of the lineup, but it's not a dedicated park ski. Skiers who want maximum metal-backed dampness for high-speed groomers should look at the M-Pro 108 TI F-Team instead.

Fit & sizing considerations:
