The 2027 Elan Ripstick 94 W Black Edition with Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW Bindings adds Elan's Quadrod system and C-Ply carbon frame to the Carbon Deck platform for the most powerful version of the women's all-mountain Ripstick. It holds onto the energy and light feel of the line while adding real damping and authority underfoot. We paired the Ripstick 94 W Black Edition with the Tyrolia Attack LYT 11 GW because of the Attack’s light weight and reliability for all mountain and freeride skiers. Thanks to a 15% reduction in weight, the Attack LYT 11 is the perfect binding option for lighter weight freeriders, and keeps this setup on the lighter side without sacrificing power or performance.
Why we like it:
The extra carbon shows up most where it matters, in chop and at higher speeds. The 94 W BE stays planted and composed where a lighter ski would start to feel jittery, and it manages that without taking on the weight of a metal build.
Who it's for:
Stronger, more aggressive women skiers who like to push the pace and want a women's all-mountain ski with extra muscle and damping. It rewards an active style with composure the standard Ripstick cannot quite match.
Highlights:
The Black Edition lays a pair of meaningful upgrades over the women's Carbon Deck build. The Quadrod system carries four carbon rods rather than two for a big lift in torsional rigidity and edge precision, and the C-Ply carbon frame threads carbon through the structure for more backbone. The Tubelite woodcore still anchors it, so a 94 mm waist with all that added structure never feels heavy, and the Amphibio profile keeps entry easy and grip honest. The result is a ski clearly more composed than the standard 94 W, with everything that made the original worth skiing still intact. Fine-tuned for 2027, the Attack LYT 11 is designed to bring the ideal level of safety and performance to skiers looking for a light weight binding for a wide-bodied all-mountain or freeride ski. The new FR LYT Toe is 15% lighter, and offers a sliding AFD for precise and reliable release as well as plenty of elastic travel. Tyrolia’s SX FR Heel is easy to step into, offering an intuitive and frustration-free experience whether you’re stepping into your skis to start your day, or cleaning up from a pow day yardsale.
Things to consider:
It is a firmer, more demanding ride than the standard Ripstick 94 W, so if you want easy handling and forgiveness, the standard version is the better choice. It is still non-metal, so the very top of the damping range stays out of reach, even if it comes closer than you would expect.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Sizing runs true. Aggressive skiers will want the longer length; lighter or more measured skiers can drop down.
