Ski Size

Speed and stability on hard snow are where the Fischer The Curv Noize GTX earns its keep. It's a frontside ski with race-level performance, just a little wider underfoot than a pure race carver, which buys some forgiveness and versatility when conditions aren't perfect. A carbon bridge underfoot and a pair of thin titanal sheets layered onto a solid wood core give it a stiff, lively backbone, while vibration-damping metal pigment along the ski keeps it quiet when you open things up. A multi-radius sidecut lets you choose between snappy short turns and long, drawn-out arcs simply by changing how far the ski is tipped. A flex plate under the VX 13 binding lets the ski bend in a smooth, even curve. Expert and strong advanced skiers get a precise, high-energy carver with a little more latitude than a racing ski offers.

Why we like it:

The GTX strikes a great balance between race-level grip and everyday versatility, and the slightly wider waist makes it more forgiving when the snow isn't perfect. We also love the Carbon Bridge, which gives the ski a crisp, energetic rebound that keeps you snapping from one turn to the next.

Who it's for:

Expert and strong advanced skiers who love carving at speed but don't want a pure race ski are who this ski is built for. It's a great match for skiers who ski groomers hard most days and want a versatile, stable ski that can handle varied conditions.

Highlights:

The backbone of the GTX is a Carbon Bridge set beneath the binding, oriented to deliver strong torsional stiffness, sharp edge grip, and lively rebound. It pairs with a Solid Woodcore and two 0.5 mm layers of Shaped Ti tuned to the ski's shape for stability. Noize Control, Fischer's race-department print technology, adds metal pigments to targeted areas of the topsheet to calm vibration and improve acceleration. Thanks to the Radical Triple Radius sidecut, turn initiation is especially easy while improving control throughout the arc, and the Superflex plate lets the ski flex naturally beneath the binding. Edges and base get Fischer's World Cup Tuning before the ski leaves the factory, and the Race Sidewall makes future edge work easier.

Things to consider:

Even with its extra width, the GTX is still a cambered frontside carver and isn't designed for deep or untracked snow. It needs a confident, active skier to bring out its best, and lighter skiers may prefer the GT 80 for a more forgiving experience.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Noize GTX runs true to length. A longer pair adds high-speed stability and a calmer ride in rough snow, while a shorter pair feels livelier and more eager in quick, tight turns.
