Ski Size

At the top of the Curv family, the Fischer The Curv Noize is about as close to a race ski as a recreational carver gets. Fischer describes the Curv line as a street-legal race machine, and this is the purest form of that idea: narrow underfoot, wrapped in carbon fiber so it resists twisting, and built around a solid wood core sandwiched by two layers of shaped titanal. Its sidecut favors longer, faster arcs than most frontside skis, and a race-style plate under the RC4 Z13 binding adds leverage and lets the ski flex evenly. Vibration-damping metal pigment keeps the ride glassy when speeds climb. For strong skiers who love tipping the ski way over on firm, freshly groomed snow, it delivers rock-solid grip and a powerful rebound out of every turn, and it asks for real effort and sound technique in return.

Why we like it:

The M-Plate, Diagowrap carbon wrap, and two sheets of Shaped Ti make this feel like a true race ski wearing a recreational topsheet, and the edge grip on hard snow is outstanding. Noize Control keeps all that power remarkably calm at high speed, which is exactly where this ski is most fun.

Who it's for:

Expert skiers and former racers who live for high-speed carving on firm, freshly groomed runs are the target here. It's best for strong, technically sound skiers who drive the ski from the front of the boot and want maximum stability and grip.

Highlights:

The M-Plate is a World Cup-derived plate matched to the ski and binding as a complete system, and it sets the tone for everything else in the Curv Noize. Beneath it sits a Solid Woodcore wrapped in carbon fiber through Fischer's Diagowrap construction, which delivers very high torsional stiffness with minimal added weight, and a Carbon Bridge underfoot further boosts edge grip and rebound. Two layers of Shaped Ti, 0.8 mm and 0.5 mm, are tailored to the ski's geometry for stability and a smooth ride. The metal-pigment print of Noize Control reduces vibration and helps the ski accelerate out of the turn, and the Radical Triple Radius sidecut makes it easier to start a turn than the race-ski build might suggest. Race Sidewall, World Cup Tuning, and Sintered Bases round out a construction that comes straight out of the race room.

Things to consider:

The Curv Noize is the most demanding ski in the Curv line, and it needs speed, commitment, and good technique to come alive. At slow speeds or in soft, uneven snow it can feel stiff and unforgiving, and skiers who want a more versatile frontside ski should look at the Noize GTX.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Curv Noize sizes true to length, and its race-ski build makes the length choice especially noticeable. A longer ski delivers the locked-in stability this model is known for on fast, open runs, while a shorter one trades a little of that composure for quicker transitions and tighter turn shapes.
