The 2027 Head WCR e.SG Rebel RP 175 is the shortest and most accessible build in HEAD's Super-G range, FIS-approved and aimed at racers who want speed-discipline performance in a length that's manageable for younger or smaller athletes. It gets refinements for the new season but keeps the World Cup DNA: stiff, damp, and dialed for going fast in long turns. RP signals the included WCR 14 Short race plate that's part of the package.

Why we like it:

Super-G skis at this length are rare, and the fact that HEAD builds the same fundamental chassis as the longer SG variants and just tunes the radius down is a real win for younger racers.

Who it's for:

Younger or smaller FIS Super-G racers, U16 and early U18 athletes moving into speed events, and lighter masters racers who want a true SG ski sized to their weight. Requires real technique and should be picked with a coach involved.

Highlights:

The Graphene Worldcup Sandwich Construction here is the same basic layup as the rest of the World Cup race line: a vertical-laminate wood core with titanal layers and graphene reinforcement, wrapped in phenolic sidewalls. That gives the ski the damping and torsional rigidity it needs to stay calm at speed-event speeds, which is the whole point of an SG ski. EMC adds electronic damping to take the edge off chatter when the snow gets rough, and the RD Racing Top Sheet keeps things crisp without adding deck weight. Race Structured High Speed UHM C Base with infrared waxing prep delivers the glide you'd expect from a speed ski, and Rebel Camber underfoot keeps the ski engaged through a long arc. Things to consider:

Even though this is the shortest SG ski in the range, it's still a Super-G ski. It demands speed and open terrain to come alive. Outside of training and competition, this is not a versatile or fun option.
