Beginner-friendly without being throwaway, the 2027 K2 Belief gives new women riders a real boot at a real price. The flex is genuinely soft, the closure is a single BOA dial that takes seconds to dial in even with cold hands, and the foam liner runs warm and comfortable straight out of the box. There's no learning curve here, and that's the whole point. Riders just getting their first season under their belt or shopping for a low-commitment second pair will find a boot that does what it needs to do without demanding anything in return.
Why we like it:
The H4 BOA dial is a huge step up from traditional laces for any new rider, since you can tighten or loosen the boot without taking your gloves off. The articulating upper cuff is also a nice touch at this tier, letting the boot flex forward without the shell distorting and pinching the foot.
Who it's for:
The Belief is purpose-built for beginner women riders, plus anyone shopping for an occasional-use second pair or a guest boot for friends and family. The soft flex makes weight transfer and edge engagement easier to feel, which is key when you're still building the fundamentals.
Highlights:
The Belief keeps things straightforward, which is exactly what a boot at this level should do. The H4 BOA Fit System handles closure with a single dial, fast to set and fast to release, and the dial ejects cleanly on hard impact rather than staying stuck. Inside, the Comfort Foam EVA Liner uses soft, warm foam tuned for a forgiving flex and a great out-of-the-box fit, and Fast-In Liner Lacing keeps things simple with a single pull to set the liner around the foot. The articulating upper cuff works on the outside of the shell to keep the flex pattern smooth and predictable. Underfoot, the Low-Pro Outsole delivers solid grip in a lightweight package, and the Die-Cut EVA Insole adds basic support and cushion. Internal J-Bars handle the heel hold side.
Things to consider:
The liner is not heat-moldable, so riders looking for a custom-fit experience will want to step up to the Haven or Contour. Riders progressing past the beginner stage will also outgrow the soft flex fairly quickly, so this is best treated as either a starter boot or an occasional-use option.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Sizes true to length. The Belief runs from 5 to 10, so most riders can pick their usual size and call it good. Because the EVA liner doesn't pack out as dramatically as a heat-moldable foam liner, the initial fit tends to be closer to the long-term fit, which makes sizing decisions a little more forgiving.
