If you're shopping for a do-everything resort boot with real backbone, the 2027 K2 Maysis is one of the safer bets in the category. It's been a benchmark in the all-mountain space for a while now, and the current version keeps that reputation going with a stiffer-leaning flex, a heat-moldable liner, and dual-zone lacing that genuinely responds the way you want it to. The boot rides like a proper everyday driver for advanced and intermediate riders, comfortable enough for first chair to last lift but with enough structure underneath to drive a stiffer board through chop and at speed.
Why we like it:
Conda with BOA Liner Lacing is the unsung hero here, pulling the heel down into the pocket in a way that traditional liner harnesses just can't match. The H5 Coiler / M+2 BOA Fit System on the outside backs it up, with the upper and lower zones tensioned separately so the cuff can stay locked while the forefoot stays comfortable.
Who it's for:
The Maysis fits intermediate to advanced riders who want one boot to handle whatever the day throws at them. It's stiff enough for someone progressing into faster, more committed riding, but it's not so demanding that an all-day cruiser will feel punished by it. Resort riders who mix groomers, trees, and the occasional park lap are a great match.
Highlights:
Inside the shell, the Intuition Control Foam 3D Liner uses medium and high-density foam in different zones so the heel and ankle pull in tight while the rest of the foot stays comfortable, and the whole thing is heat-moldable for a personalized fit. The Endo 3.0 Heel Counter and Rubber Reinforced Articulating Cuff Upper work together to keep the boot's flex consistent over time, which is one of the recurring complaints with mid- and upper-tier boots in general. On the lacing side, dual BOA dials run the H5 Coiler and M+2 system, with each zone tensioning on its own so the cuff can stay tight without choking the forefoot. The Conda BOA Liner Lacing inside delivers heel hold that traditional pull-string harnesses can't really replicate. Underfoot, the This Grips! Premium Rubber Outsole is paired with Harshmellow foam and a Harshmellow Plus Insole, so impacts and chatter get absorbed before they reach your foot.
Things to consider:
Riders with wider feet should look at the Maysis Wide variant rather than sizing up in this version, since the standard Maysis last is built for an average-width foot. True beginners may also find the flex a touch firm and would do better in the Market or a softer single-BOA option.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Sizes true to length. The Maysis runs from 5 to 15, including half sizes, so almost any rider should land cleanly. Bumping up a length isn't recommended here because the heat moldable liner will pack in for a custom fit, and an oversized shell will give up some of the heel hold the boot is known for.
