2027 Rossignol Hero Athlete FIS GS FAC R22 Skis

The Rossignol Hero A FIS GS FAC is a full-gas giant slalom race ski built to meet FIS standards, designed for elite racers who demand absolute precision and stability at speed. It sits at the very top of the Hero lineup, prioritizing edge hold, power, and consistency through long, high-speed turns.

Why we like it:

It delivers that unmistakable locked-in GS feel with unwavering confidence when the course gets fast and demanding.

Who it's for:

The strongest junior racers and FIS-level athletes who need a compliant, race-legal GS ski that thrives under pressure.

Highlights:

A full camber profile keeps the entire edge engaged, which translates to relentless grip and a powerful exit from every turn. The long radius shape encourages clean, committed turns, rewarding skiers who are willing to load up the ski and let it run. A dense race construction brings serious damping, so the ski stays composed even when speeds climb and conditions get firm. Lively rebound out of the turn helps maintain flow between gates without feeling overly reactive. R22 binding plate included.

Things to consider:

This is a demanding ski that requires strength, precision, and speed to come alive. It is not forgiving at slower speeds or in mixed conditions.

Fit & sizing considerations:

It skis true to length with a very planted feel. Most racers will stick to their standard GS length, though lighter or less aggressive athletes may find it requires full commitment to bend effectively.
