Boot Size

Built for kids who are skiing past the beginner stage and ready for a real performance boot, the Salomon S/Pro 65 is a junior all-mountain shell with a 98mm last and a softer-but-supportive flex profile. A polyurethane shell, polyolefin cuff, and four aluminum 3D buckles give this boot real downhill credibility, while a heat-moldable liner with an autostretch collar keeps growing feet comfortable through a full ski day. It's a junior boot that doesn't ski like a junior boot.

Why we like it:

The polyurethane shell sets this boot apart from softer entry-level junior boots; aspiring racers and stronger young skiers can actually drive it, and the heat-moldable My Thermic Fit Jr liner with autostretch collar means real fit customization that follows the kid into next season.

Who it's for:

Advanced young skiers and progressing intermediates who are ready to move beyond rear-entry or two-buckle starter boots. The 98mm last is performance-oriented but the 65 flex keeps the boot accessible for kids who haven't built full leg strength yet. Foot shape leans low-volume, so this fits skinnier kid feet best.

Highlights:

The S/Pro 65 has a polyurethane lower shell paired with a polyolefin cuff, giving the boot real alpine power without overwhelming a young skier. Four riveted aluminum 3D buckles handle closure across the entire boot, with a 35mm riveted Velcro power strap finishing the top. Inside is the My Thermic Fit Jr liner with a Hypersoft footbed and autostretch collar, which is heat moldable for a custom fit and stretches comfortably around growing calves. GripWalk soles come premounted (ISO 23223) for safer walking on icy parking lots, and the riveted oversized pivot at the cuff keeps power transmission clean.

Things to consider:

The 65 flex is on the stiffer side for a junior boot, so skiers still finding their balance may do better in something softer like the T4. The 98mm last is firmly performance-oriented and won't work for kids with wider feet without bootfitting work.

Fit & sizing considerations:

Sizes run 21.0 to 27.5 mondopoint, covering older kids and teens. Kid feet grow fast, so plan on resizing every season or two; a session at the ski shop is worth booking for an accurate measurement before buying.
