2027 Union STR Snowboard Bindings

The Union STR is a durable, mid-flexing all-mountain binding made for riders who want to level up. It pairs all-day comfort with a forgiving response, making it an approachable choice for progressing snowboarders.

Why we like it:

It offers a comfortable, forgiving ride and dependable durability at a budget-friendly price, so it is an easy way for a newer rider to get quality performance without overspending.

Who it's for:

It fits beginner to intermediate riders who want a comfortable, versatile binding to explore more of the mountain.

Highlights:

The STR uses an S5 Duraflex baseplate and S11 Duraflex highback for a mid, forgiving flex that keeps turn initiation easy while still offering enough support to progress. Thermoformed EVA bushings and footbed cushion your ride, while the Exoframe 3.0 ankle strap and TS 2.1 UltraGrip toe strap deliver a comfortable, secure fit. Canting supports a natural stance, toolless Cam-Lock FLAD adjusts forward lean, and a lifetime warranty on the baseplate and heelcup backs its durable build. It mounts to 4x2, 4x4, and Channel systems.

Things to consider:

As a mid-flex binding aimed at progression, the STR is not as stiff or responsive as a high-end all-mountain or freeride binding, so aggressive experts who want maximum power transfer may want a stiffer model.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The STR comes in standard binding sizes based on your boot size, so pick the size that matches your boot and check Union's size chart if you are between sizes.
