2027 Union Ultra Snowboard Bindings

The Union Ultra is a premium freestyle-oriented binding designed to be one of the most comfortable bindings Union has ever built. A next-generation suspension system flexes, rebounds, and absorbs impact to deliver a smooth, cushioned board feel.

Why we like it:

It delivers a plush, damp ride that soaks up hard landings and rough snow while still feeling lively and responsive, so it is as comfortable for all-day cruising as it is for stomping tricks.

Who it's for:

It suits intermediate to advanced riders who want a cushioned, playful freestyle binding that can still handle the whole mountain.

Highlights:

The Ultra is built on an S11 Duraflex ST baseplate with an asymmetrical Mini Disk and a new S25 Duraflex ST highback for a responsive yet forgiving flex. Union's Molecular Bushing with a TPE outsole is the centerpiece of its suspension, cushioning every turn and landing, while the Hybrid 1.0 ankle strap with a PU core and TS 5.0 UltraGrip toe strap wrap the boot comfortably. An integrated 2-Stage FLAD adjusts forward lean without tools, and magnesium ratchets keep it durable. The Ultra mounts to 4x2 and Channel systems.

Things to consider:

The Ultra does not include canting and is tuned more for cushioned playfulness than stiff, hard-charging response, so a rider who wants a maximally stiff freeride binding may prefer a different model.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Ultra comes in standard binding sizes based on your boot size, so choose the size that matches your boot and check Union's size chart if you are between sizes.
