Black Diamond Ski Skin Tail Kit

Tail hardware is the part of a skin that sees the most wear, and the Black Diamond Ski Skin Tail Kit replaces it. The kit includes new tail straps and clips plus the rivets and hardware to install them. A quick rebuild keeps your skins locked onto your skis on the climb.

Why we like it:

Everything you need is in the box: two straps, the clips, and the rivets to put it all together, so a worn tail doesn't mean a new pair of skins.

Features and Functions:

Black Diamond's tail kit contains two replacement tail straps, clips, rivets, and hardware for the ski skin tail attachment. It's compatible with all current Glidelite and Ascension skins, and the steel, aluminum, and TPU construction is built to stand up to the same abuse as the original parts. The full kit weighs 68g.

Bottom Line:

If you tour on Glidelite or Ascension skins, this is the fix for a stretched strap or a broken clip. It's worth having on hand before a long season.
