Why we like it:

The rubber sleeve fixed to the shaft just below the grip is the sleeper feature here. It lets you choke up quickly on steep traverses, and it's perfect for tapping snow off your boot sole before stepping into your bindings without beating up the pole. The two-basket setup is a nice touch too, swapping from the small hard-snow disc to the 85mm powder basket takes seconds.

The shaft is an 18mm aluminum dural 6061 build, cylindrical and fixed-length, tuned to stay light without feeling flimsy. Up top is Rossignol's Hero bi-material grip with a thermo sleeve, which absorbs vibration and gives you that extended hand-contact zone for varied terrain. The Active strap keeps things secure, and the pole ships with both an 85mm powder basket and a 60mm regular basket so you're covered across conditions. A steel tip rounds it out, and the whole thing comes in at 260g per pole at 125cm.
