Rossignol Tactic Poles

Versatility and durability are the headline traits of the Rossignol Tactic. Built around an 18mm aluminum dural shaft and capped with ergonomic bi-injection components, this is a do-everything all-mountain pole that doesn't push the price point. It's a great fit for resort skiers who want a reliable everyday pole without overpaying for race-derived tech they're not going to use.

Why we like it:

The bi-injection grip components are a nice touch at this price point. The dual-material build helps absorb shaft vibration and gives a more secure feel through gloved hands, which is the kind of comfort upgrade most entry-tier poles skip over.

Highlights:

The Tactic uses an 18mm 6061 aluminum dural shaft, which is a strong-but-light aluminum alloy common to the everyday alpine pole category. The R-Grip is shaped ergonomically and uses a mono-material build for consistent feel, with bi-injection components elsewhere on the pole to help dampen vibration coming up through the shaft. A regular 60mm basket plants cleanly on hardpack and varied snow, a steel tip handles the firm stuff, and a standard adjustable strap rounds it out.
